'Spirit' - Blanket

A horse with American Red Indian war paint jumps the waves. Horses are highly respected spirits in American Red Indian culture. War paint was used on themselves and their horses going into battle to protect them and to mark their bravery. Circles of paint around the eyes and nostrils were said to enhance their senses. Lines across their nasal bridge were said to represent the overthrown settlements. Straight arrows were said to bring victory.
